Physio Yoga Therapy
Physiotherapy is knowledge about the body and a way to guide you to a deeper understanding about your own body, its needs and potentials. Yoga is a way of living that includes movements, breath work, meditation and other tools to go through life with more ease. After many years as a physiotherapist in the field of rehabilitation, yoga has become my most valuable tool in order to help people to heal the body, mind and soul. Physioyogatherapy combines the scientific knowledge from physiotherapy with the awareness and connection between body and mind from the yoga.
The sessions
In the first session we begin with a talk about your health, expectations and goals with the therapy. In physiotherapy we call it the anamnesis. Depending on your needs and knowledge I will share about the functions of the body and what we can do to support its healing. Through gentle movements we start to explore the body together, creating movements adjusted for you, and step by step we build a program specially designed for you and your needs. After the guided movements we usually end with a relaxation guided by my voice, and if eligible also a hands on treatment with tools from thai yoga massage and reflexology. In the end we summarise the session and decide together how your journey will continue.
